When it comes to looking at potential neighborhoods there is a lot to consider. Are the homes well maintained? Do the residents seem friendly with each other? What is the proximity to shopping, hospitals, and necessities?
In general, I advise driving through a lot of the neighborhood just to get a sense of the entirety of it. You should pay particular attention to your commute time to work, nearby stores, hospitals, and if there are multiple routes to the home too. All of these things may matter to you when deciding on a home.
