Fox Hill Hampton, VA

Spread the love

Fox Hill in Hampton, VA is a popular neighborhood located in Hampton near Buckroe, Phoebus, Fort Monroe, NASA, and Langley Air Force Base.

As far as local neighborhoods go, Fox Hill is relatively large with houses ranging in price from just under $200k to $600k or more.  Fox Hill is centrally located between the upper peninsula cities and the southside and it’s a great place to live.

When it comes to looking at potential neighborhoods there is a lot to consider.  Are the homes well maintained?  Do the residents seem friendly with each other?  What is the proximity to shopping, hospitals, and necessities?

In general, I advise driving through a lot of the neighborhood just to get a sense of the entirety of it.  You should pay particular attention to your commute time to work, nearby stores, hospitals, and if there are multiple routes to the home too. All of these things may matter to you when deciding on a home.

In most of those areas, I think Fox Hill really delivers.  It’s full of homeowners who really take pride in the aesthetic.  As a neighborhood, it feels like a destination – you can tell you’ve arrived and it feels very homey.

It’s dog-friendly, has convenient sidewalks, and is overall fairly walkable.  All of this is important when it comes to considering a place to purchase a home – and potentially even raise a family (or just a furry kid or two).

You can access Fox Hill off multiple roads from Mercury Blvd and Woodland Rd. It’s the type of neighborhood where generations of families often stay and live within a few blocks of one another.  In fact, many families have been there dating back a century, but new neighbors are welcomed, too.

Who lives in Fox Hill?

It’s also conveniently located near a lot of cool amenities, places to work, and parks for recreation.  As far as employment opportunities, many active duty military servicemembers call Fox Hill home, as well as NASA engineers and scientists, fishermen, teachers, firefighters, nurses, stay-at-home parents, and more.

It’s a typical coastal Virginia residential neighborhood, and there are houses in different sizes and shapes to suit almost any kind of personal style.  Lots vary in size from a townhome lot to a few acres, some even waterfront.

There are older brick ranches, colonial, contemporary, and newer construction, all with the benefit of being part of an established neighborhood.  Whether you’re looking for vintage charm or modern amenities, you can find a home to suit your needs and budget in Fox Hill.

Houses in Fox Hill Hampton VA

The houses in Fox Hill definitely run the gamut – from townhomes to 3000+ sq ft homes, homes that need updates to newer construction that’s turnkey.  There are also several lots available for sale (some even waterfront!) if you’re wanting to live here but prefer to build your own home to suit.

Most of the homes range from the upper $100s to $500s or so.  As far as price is concerned, there are definitely some outliers, but generally speaking it’s an affordable neighborhood with a lot of attractive features to recommend to potential buyers.
